Friends of the Library Lead Ongoing Drive to Sustain and Grow a Cherished Local Resource
Our Mission
The mission of the Pollock Pines Friends of the Library, a non-profit, volunteer organization is to support our library, and its patrons; by encouraging literacy and lifelong learning, fostering community connections, and offering programs and services that inform, engage and entertain. This is especially important in a rural community such as ours. We can only achieve this through fundraising efforts; including memberships, book sales, donations and endowments.
Funding
All funds raised by the Pollock Pines Friends of the Library are used for the purchase of books, eBooks, audiobooks, and periodicals; underwrite programs and events for children, youth and adults.
Friends of the Library - Forever Giving!
Friends of the Library is just that! People throughout the community who volunteer to help maintain and grow Pollock Pines Public Library.
FOL, in partnership with the Dogwood Garden Club, takes on needed tasks that include maintenance and improvements. However, one task has become very important - raising money for the purchase of new books for the local library branch.
Fundraising activities throughout the year - such as book sales and soliciting donations - bring essential support to one of our most treasured community resources.
