BIG READ Events at the Pollock Pines Library:
Book Talk - Feb. 10th at noon
We invite readers to explore Chast’s memoir with us. At each of the 6 library locations, we’ll use a set of questions to guide our discussion, looking at the way Chast interweaves her parents’ experiences growing up, how those shaped their adult relationships, and Chast’s own conflicted motions in becoming their caregiver. But we’ll also follow your lead and let the conversation flow!

Self Portrait Workshop (Teens and Adults) - Apr. 6th at noon
Explore your own creativity in our NEA Big Read self-portrait workshops. Hosted at libraries across the county, participants will create artworks using a variety of mediums, looking to themselves as the main character of their own story. Registration required.
